The residents of Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers, have been super busy recently enjoying a number of fantastic activities.

The staff at Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers, had a lot of fun recently dressing up and unleashing their inner elf for a really fantastic cause. Elf Day is an annual event during which participants are encouraged to dress up as an elf and enjoy some festive activities while raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Castle Farm Retirement Home recently said a very emotional goodbye to our manager Dawn. After 25 years as a vital part of the Royal Bay family, it was finally time for her to enjoy her well-earned retirement.

Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers, recently had the pleasure of welcoming a hugely talented ukulele band to perform for the residents. They put on a fantastic show featuring their versions of some famous hits and everybody had a great time getting to sing along to their favourite songs!

Christmas 2020 at Castle Farm Retirement Home, care home in Lytchett Matravers, was a little different this year. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions residents were unable to welcome visitors, however, a fantastic celebration was still had in spite of this.

A harvest festival is traditionally a celebration during which you give thanks for the year’s successful crop yield. Nowadays, however, it is more commonly an event where people are encouraged to celebrate the things they’re thankful for.

There were four special birthdays at Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers recently, so they held a garden party in order to commemorate the circumstances properly. Dawn, the care home manager, turned 65 while her colleagues Jackie and Sharon celebrated their 56th and 50th birthdays.

Everybody is affected by the difficult circumstances at the moment, although the team at Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers, is not letting that get in the way of providing their usual high level of care with a smile.

Our summer fete was so well supported by our residents and their relatives, and our staff and friends of Castle Farm Retirement Home, around 120 people joined us for the day!!
