Castle Farm Retirement Home recently said a very emotional goodbye to our manager Dawn. After 25 years as a vital part of the Royal Bay family, it was finally time for her to enjoy her well-earned retirement.

Over the years Dawn has been a figure of huge importance at our care home in Lytchett Matravers. Always there to help support, mentor, guide and care for the residents and staff, the level of love and respect everybody has for her is immeasurable.

Dawn’s dedication to maintaining high standards and top CQC ratings played a massive role in Castle Farm’s success and she leaves a fantastic legacy.

To celebrate Dawn’s retirement a party was obviously in order. We held a BBQ in the Castle Farm gardens and as the sun beamed down from clear blue skies we couldn’t have asked for a better day. To accompany the excellent BBQ food everybody also got to enjoy a slice of delicious cake, presented to Dawn to commemorate the occasion. She was also presented with many bouquets of flowers and thoughtful retirement gifts. It was a great day enjoyed by all and a very fitting goodbye to a huge personality that will be greatly missed.

Thank you for all of your hard work over the past 25 years, Dawn. We wish you the best and hope you enjoy getting some extra gardening done with all of your newfound free time!
