Castle Farm Retirement Home in Poole was fortunate enough to have a visit from the very talented Katy of Musica Dorset on Friday 8th December. Katy played a fantastic selection of festive medleys for everyone at the gold standard nursing home in Dorset to enjoy.
In September, once again Royal Bay Care Homes organised an afternoon for our staff to let their hair down with a touch of competitive spirit! We know all our staff work very hard to achieve the high standards we want our residents to receive, so we feel it’s nice to try and give something back in various ways, one of which is our annual Intercounty Games!
Residents of Royal Bay Care Homes attend Rotary Wessex Red Carpet Gala Screening on the 110th Birthday of Rotary International. On Monday 23rd February, both Royal Bay residents and staff attended a film premiere of Fox Searchlight Pictures’ ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ held at the University of Southampton.
On Monday 23rd February, Royal Bay will be travelling to a glitz and glam film premiere being held by The Damaris Trust and Rotary Wessex. As official sponsors, our Corporate team, Managers, Staff and Residents, will be attending the black tie event to watch The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel featuring legendary acting names such as Judy Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy & Richard Gere.
This past week there was an exceptionally heartwarming story, whereby Peter Hanson, the son of Molly Hanson, a resident at The Old Vicarage in Kettering, had the opportunity of driving the Scots Guardsman 46115, the same train his father Philip drove about 50 years ago along the same route.
On September the 13th, four of our eight homes gathered at Forest Hill House Nursing, Corfe Mullen, to take part in Royal Bay Care Home’s first ever annual Intercounty Games.
