There were four special birthdays at Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers recently, so they held a garden party in order to commemorate the circumstances properly. Dawn, the care home manager, turned 65 while her colleagues Jackie and Sharon celebrated their 56th and 50th birthdays. They had the pleasure of sharing their birthday with resident Michael, who has reached the incredible milestone of 90 years old!

Fortunately, the weather was extremely kind and the sun was shining all day so it was the perfect day for a garden party. The drinks were flowing and everybody was well-fed courtesy of the barbecue, however, they had to make sure to leave room for a slice (or three) of the numerous birthday cakes on offer! A fantastic day was had by all and it was lovely to see staff and residents have the opportunity to celebrate together.
