Everybody is affected by the difficult circumstances at the moment, although the team at Castle Farm Retirement Home, our care home in Lytchett Matravers, is not letting that get in the way of providing their usual high level of care with a smile. However, some very generous and thoughtful individuals have certainly been contributing to those smiles recently.
There has been an outpouring of kindness and appreciation towards our hard-working staff as of late and many have shown this in the way of lovely treats. Last week, during a staff meeting, the team was surprised by the delivery of an absolutely delicious cream tea, which of course went down a treat! They’ve also been lucky enough to receive some scrumptious chocolate brownies and an incredibly tasty array of cupcakes – forcing one or two diets to be put on a temporary hold! Local coronavirus support group Lytchett Matravers Angels very kindly donated a hamper full of goodies including fruit, biscuits and sweet treats to be enjoyed by staff and residents – there was certainly enough to go around!
It wasn’t all just gifts to appease the sweet tooth though – Lush, producers of very popular handmade cosmetics, made a huge donation of amazing products which the team was very excited about! The team at our residential care home in Dorset is so thankful for these incredibly generous gestures of appreciation and is touched by the support they have received.
