Accommodation and Vacancies
Accommodation is mainly single en-suite, but there are companion room options too. There is a large separate dining room as well as a south-facing conservatory overlooking unspoiled countryside. The Retirement Home has a five-person shaft lift and is equipped to look after high-dependency clients. There is a disabled persons’ minibus, complete with ramp for wheelchair clients, for use for outside events. The Retirement Home has undergone substantial upgrading and refurbishment and conforms to the new standards required by the Care Standards Commission.
All meals are freshly prepared to have that home-cooked taste, with the use of fresh produce whenever we can. The chef provides a regularly varied menu along with catering for special diets (diabetic, low fat etc.) The home also has excellent relations with local GP surgeries and hospitals that provide full support.
Our Castle Farm Retirement Home vacancies will vary from time to time, please contact us to discuss our availability and what we can do to help. We have another two Dorset Care Homes close to Poole and Blandford which may be able to accommodate you if Castle Farm cannot.
Lifestyle
Residents are allowed, wherever possible, to live their lives as independently as possible. They are encouraged to remain active as long as possible and participate in as many activities as they are able to manage, subject to their own limitations.
We welcome both long and short stay residents including respite care, whether privately funded or assisted by Social Services. Any special dietary requirement is catered for.
The Home helps clients to lead their individual lifestyles whenever possible by encouraging existing and new interests and providing varied activities for those interested. Friends and family are welcomed at any time to spend time with their relative/s.
Respite Care
If you’re looking for Respite Care close to Poole, then look no further. Castle Farm is a wonderful retirement home offering friendly care in the Dorset countryside. Respite Care can be offered to anyone over 65 who requires a short period of care following a bout of ill health or a routine hospital operation. Equally, if you are a carer of an elderly relative and wish to have a week or two’s holiday, please contact us with their needs and we’ll be happy to check if we can offer Respite Care either here at Castle Farm or at one of our other Dorset Care Homes close-by.
