Review from Michael J (Son of Resident)

Our mum received care and end-of-life care for two and a half years at Castle Farm Care Home. Throughout the Corona pandemic and beyond, she was kept safe and comfortable with a hundred smiles, hugs and kisses from the staff. Meanwhile, our mum was feisty to the end. Our deep gratitude goes to all for the kind and professional care she received until the very last moment. The consideration shown to her granddaughter and myself during the last 48 hours will never be forgotten. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to the manager and your team, be proud of what you do and have achieved.

Review from A S (Son of Resident)

My mother and father both lived in Castle Farm Care Home for the last few years. The care they received was exceptional and they were both extremely happy living there. The staff regularly went above and beyond normal duty to look after them and, whilst everyone was amazing, I would like to single out one member of staff for adding a particular level of kindness and consideration that I found deeply moving. Nobody likes to put their parents into a care home but when it becomes absolutely necessary it is a great comfort to be able to find somewhere like Castle Farm. I thank everybody there from the bottom of my heart for all they did for Mum and Dad.

Review from P S (Son of Resident)

Our mum was at Castle Farm Care Home for a few years and during her time there she was looked after brilliantly. The staff are caring, often doing extra things in their own time. I would regularly ask Mum if she was happy where she was and she would, without hesitation, always say yes she liked it there. The lovely, quiet patio area and garden, with the chairs and tables, enhance the feeling of a peaceful country residence: lovely to sit out when visiting Mum. We would fully recommend Castle Farm to anyone thinking of care home options.

Review from Lynn L (Daughter of Resident)

My mother is a resident at Castle Farm Care Home. To mark the Queen’s jubilee, family members were sent an invitation to a BBQ. My husband and I attended with our daughter and 2 of our granddaughters. We wanted to congratulate the staff on the wonderful afternoon we spent with you. There had obviously been a tremendous amount of preparation and thought to detail gone into making it such a special occasion. The staff were kind, attentive friendly and welcoming. It was so lovely to witness such an amazing team working together. The food, entertainment and general atmosphere was very special. Everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you for creating such a memorable event for our family.

Review from J P (Resident)

Mum has been a resident for a few months and was previously at another care home but felt she needed more of a homely atmosphere. She took a while to settle in, but she is happy there, and one cannot fault the staff who are kind and caring and make sure on her bad days she is given extra reassurance. Her room has her personal possessions of photos and pictures scattered throughout her walls and is made to be as homely as possible for her.
Would highly recommend.

Review from Teresa N (Daughter of Resident)

My father lived at Castle Farm for 14-months, having chosen to move into residential care. He welcomed the excellent food, friendly atmosphere, lively activities and well cared for home and gardens. At all times he was made to consider Castle Farm as his home where he was welcome to invite friends for a meal and to visit. Over recent months his health deteriorated, and he had to rely on the excellent care of the staff and the oversight of his medical needs. Although he found his increasing dependence frustrating, high-quality care was maintained throughout. Relatives were always welcomed and any requests considered. Owing to the demands of Covid 19, additional challenges arose, but communication was maintained and contact with residents was a priority. As end of life care became necessary, visits were facilitated for close family and all his needs were attended to with sensitive communication with relatives. We were so grateful that our father was living at Castle Farm.

Review from Simon S (Son of Resident)

My mother only moved into Castle Farm in November but she was made to feel like a member of the family. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. When she, unfortunately, passed away in April the management and staff made it easier for me to get things rolling (always a difficult time so any burden taken off of you is a godsend.) and made me feel like they really cared. I can’t recommend them enough.

Review from J B (Daughter of Resident)

We are very happy with the excellent, patient care our elderly father is receiving at Castle Farm. He has settled in really well after a time and now is contented and happy with his new life here.

The food is very good, which he greatly enjoys. The carers are super and know him and his many idiosyncrasies

well. He is treated with dignity and patience. He enjoys some of the activities and often is found in the garden and greenhouse.

Review from Mandy B (Relative of Resident)

A relative recently spent the last 7 years of her life at Castle Farm.
She died aged 101.
The care and attention she received from all the staff were second to none.
Without exception, she was treated with dignity and respect as her health and independence gradually declined.
Castle Farm is the best care home I have ever visited.
The manager and all the staff should be extremely proud of the homely, caring environment that they maintain day by day.
Thank you.
