It’s summer at Castle Farm Care Home, and our residents have been making the most of the glorious weather. Last week we organised a delightful day out by the seaside, filled with sunshine laughter and smiles.

Our day began with a drive out to Hamworthy Park, a quiet spot away from the busy town centre known for its stunning coastal views. We were lucky to enjoy some splendid weather and our rest home residents treated themselves to some delicious ice cream. There’s nothing like enjoying an ice cream on a warm summer’s day, and this classic seaside treat brought smiles and nostalgia to our residents.

We headed on to Sandbanks, enjoying the views of the striking golden beaches. Our residents had a great time chatting, laughing and watching the world go by. Soon enough, it was time for another classic British treat: fish and chips. Everyone soaked in the peaceful surroundings as they enjoyed their meal, before the time came to return to the care home.

We all agreed that it had been a wonderful day that brought joy and happiness to our residents, reminding them of days gone by with their loved ones by the seaside.
