Castle Farm Retirement Home had the privilege of celebrating a very special birthday this month as our lovely resident Margaret turned 100 years old! It is an incredible milestone and everybody at our care home in Lytchett Matravers was so excited to celebrate Margaret’s day with her. It wasn’t just her fellow residents though – Margaret’s family also visited for the occasion, with some travelling from as far as The Netherlands and America!
Also wanting to pass on her birthday wishes was none other than Her Royal Majesty The Queen, and Margaret loved having her special birthday card read out to her. It was a truly wonderful celebration with everybody raising a glass to Margaret before tucking into a slice of delicious birthday cake!
Margaret’s 100 years have been full of rich experiences, from her time in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during WWII to her final job before retirement working in a local Broadstone middle school.
Throughout the years Margaret has enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, knitting and cooking, and nowadays she loves nothing more than relaxing to her favourite music and keeping up to date with current events.
Everybody here at Royal Bay wishes Margaret a huge Happy Birthday!
