Sybil Eckford celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at Larks Leas Rest Home, Blandford, on 9th August.

Sybil moved to Blandford in 1982 with her daughter Janet, to be near her son Richard and her four grandchildren. She has since been involved in many local communities, working at Blandford Oxfam for many years, delivering Meals on Wheels, and hosting fundraising events for The Beeches, which Janet attended.

Full of energy belying her age, Sybil is an inspiration to everyone who knows her and continues her passion for knitting, painting, Scrabble and crosswords into her next century.
